Anyone can become an Associate member of the Motorcycle Design Association. To qualify for full membership, individuals will be required to demonstrate professional experience in motorcycle and/or scooter design, trikes or quads, but this is not restricted to styling alone. All associated disciplines within 2-wheel R&D, including colour & graphics, product planning, model-making, development engineering, CAD/CAM and other support activities are included.

Membership Levels:

Associate Membership:
For individual or company applicants with no professional experience within motorcycle and scooter design or directly related activities. Single payment of $85 (individual) or $395 (Corporate), allows access to members only sections of the website, optional listing in the Associated Members directory, plus entry to MDA events.

Full Membership:

Individual Membership:
For individual applicants, either freelance or working as in-house designers, with a minimum of one year's professional experience within motorcycle and scooter design or directly related activities. Single payment of $135, includes a listing in the Designers' Directory in upto 3 Categories, the ability to submit news articles to the website and entry to MDA events.

Corporate Membership:
For design consultancies and motorcycle manufacturers or related industries who wish to register under their company name. Single payment of $395 (small companies with less than 10 employees), $795 (companies with 10 employees or more) or €1000 (multi-national corporations) includes a listing in the Designers' Directory, the ability to submit news articles to the website and multiple entries to MDA events.

College Membership:
For design colleges offering motorcycle/transport-related courses or design projects. Single payment of $395, includes a listing in th College Members section & direct hotlink to that college's own website, the ability to submit news articles to the website and multiple entries to MDA events.

Student Membership:
For individual students following motorcycle/transport-related courses or design projects.
Single payment of $85, includes a listing in the Students category (moved to Graduate category upon completion of your course) Designers' Directory and entry to MDA events.

How to Join: 

Becoming a Member is easy...

1. Download the application form here complete and email to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it with links to examples of your work if applicable.

2. You will be sent a Paypal invoice for the membership fee. This will contain a link where you can use your credit or debit card to make your payment securely. There is no need to have a Paypal account, all you need is your card details.

Once we have received confirmation of your payment your online account will be activated and you will receive your username and password. Please remember we are volunteers and also have full time jobs. Your account will be created as soon as possible but may take a couple of days after we recieve notification of your payment.
