Project CRD

ImageProject C.R.D. (Cruiser and Racer on demand), as the name suggests, takes a new approach to the Cruiser segment.

Intended to be an exclusive product for a niche market, the CRDs objective is to encapsulate the "positive emotions of any riding style combined in one and the same solution" says creator Fredy Mauerhofer.

An aluminium frame will support an engine which is to be confirmed, but a minimum torque figure of 145lb/ft has been specified from either a V-Twin, V4 or In-line triple. This will be geared down to produce a 'sensible' 186km/h top speed.

The huge 300/30 R22 rear wheel/tyre allows comfortable cruising whist the low centre of gravity and short wheelbase should offer exciting handling- "in other words a solution with which you can comfortably cruise or race".
