Ray Van Steenwyk currently works as an Animator / Director in the world of feature film and television series. With a 27 year history and experience involved in all forms of 2D hand drawn animation, 3D computer graphic and photo real animation working on many high profile International productions.
For the past 10 years Ray has also been developing his parallel passion for all things motorcycle. Using his artistic and creative abilities to encompass mechanical and industrial design, engineering and 3D prototype modeling and simulation.
While researching, restoring and riding antique and modern machines he realized that, for the past 25 years, there has been no new advances in front end technology. There has however been one concept that has kept recurring over the last 70 years or so. The one concept that could out performed all of its contemporaries but never quite realized its full potential as a leading force in motorcycle development. The enigma that won’t go away - Centre-hub steer.
Recognizing the potential for advances in safety, stability and rider control by superseding an antiquated and flawed technology, he invented the “RVS Centre-hub Steering System” which overcomes all of the problems associated with modern day motorcycle front end suspension and steering:- a purely triangulated and classically designed system which is totally tunable for dive/anti-dive to any condition (road or track specific) and is structurally superior and more stable than anything in the market place; Fork, Girder, Telelever, Duolever or any previous center-hub design.
